Those are intentional design decisions. By "screwy" I thought you meant you had noticed an issue with perspective. The idea behind the face was to take a human skull, slope it back like it had been exposed to a wind tunnel and extrude the mouth box, resulting in the aforementioned effects.
I really love this concept of a werewolf, particularly the face. The musculature is wonderful, as is the job you did with the fur. His claws,and pose are also really neat. I don't think I've seen a werewolf crouch that way. Also, the way his arms look really long makes me wonder what his movement would look like, which I think would be cool.
