Update: I received some good critique from Dan Warren and Dave Rapoza on the Crimson Daggers stream, and reworked the piece. I think I like it better now; the original twist in the body I wanted is still there but more subtle, and the overall action flows much more smoothly. Though it was a bit of a puzzle how to push such long hind legs back in perspective while keeping the length apparent.

You can see the before and after here if interested: [link]

Rabbits look quite vicious when yawning. This is a variant with more pronounced markings than the beasts in the older image --> [link]

Despite the silly pun name, their anatomy is based a bit on goats and horses in addition to the jaguar and jackrabbit.

Crits welcome.

It reminds me somewhat a thylacoleo.

A carnivorour rabbit? Well, considering that whales came from carnivorous sheep, I'd say evolution has thrown wider curveballs.

Jagua, mixed with rabbit would make a very fast and agile animal. I feel sorry for the prey of its native world they won't be getting away easily. I don't have rabbits but I had guinea-pigs, and they do look somewhat vicious when they yawn it must be the bucked teeth. Again awsome creature but I wouldn't want to meet it
