A new design for Sygnus. I rediscovered my love for Harpy Eagles, sketched a bunch of ideas out and drew this up in pen. The color and everything else is owed to photoshop, which I used as an excuse to practice clouds.

I tried to use the clouds as a sort of framing device for the dragoness. The lighting behind her head began to remind me of a crown. Hence the title.

Great job, I'm impressed. This dragon is soo... harpy-looking? I mean, his head with stong beak, fierce eyes, almost-bird claws ad colours - he really look like a child of dragon and harpy eagle.

Besides, I like contrast between techniques - dragon is simple sketchy (anyway, looks detailed enough) and clouds are so fluffy, colorfull. But together, thanks to same colouring on the dragon wings, they look like a unity.

Again, I'm just stunned.
(I'm wndering, how many new words I'd made up in this comment? ;P )
