Was skimming through books and ended up reading some of the Age of Fire series again. Thought it deserved some propaganda, so here's my rendition of AuRon as he appears at the end of the first book: grey, scaleless and grown but tailless. A perfect stealth fighter.

AuRon is probably my favorite dragon from any and all printed media. Sorry Smaug, Saphira and Temeraire fans. AuRon just kicks ass. He rips off his own tail to halt the spread of venom in his body, he wins.

So to all, I say go read the Age of Fire series by E.E. Knight, only books I know of to be told exclusively from the point of view of the dragons. First book is titled Dragon Champion, go get it.

Currently scanning for art for the series right now. Though it seems no one is following the original art on the cover of the book of AuRon, your's so far is the most amazing. He has the form of a proud lion (Sorry if that's not what you were going for), and I feel that really suits him.

I like the faces on the cover dragons, but other than that they have a lot of blatant anatomy issues. Whoever drew them probably didn't have much experience with animal anatomy. This is an issue for a lot of book covers, the best illustrator for the job doesn't always get picked.

Anyway, thank you!

Oh yeah, when I first looked at the cover artwork I was mildly confused LOL "Why is his midsection so large..." The neck also looked a little silly, and the concept of the wings looks like it would be hard to fly. Otherwise, the head and what not were all great, and the detail was amazing.

Sorry for talking so much about everything besides your artwork, it's great, honest.

Love these books. Just got the sixth one over Christmas. I'm currently rereading them cause I've basically forgot everything about three years ago.
